That would be fine if you were the Leafs coach, but you're not.  Babcock gets what he wants.

Well, maybe I'll just have to use my connections to inform Babcock that he's wrong!

This whole Franson thing seems a bit strange.  I mean he's a former Leaf and that's fine, but I don't recall a player under contract for another team openly talking about potentially going back to his old team when he becomes a UFA.  Usually they give a safe, non-committal answer like "we'll decide in the summer what my options are, I'm not closing any doors" blah blah.

Lindros made it pretty clear he wanted to come to Toronto at the end in Philly and with the NYR

Just put a call into his mom... I hear that works sometimes.  :P

Please, please, please let the Leafs win tonight! My heart can't take a long, drawn-out battle to secure a playoff spot against a team other than Washington.

My predictions:

5-2 Leafs - Matthews with another 2 goals to hit 40 and thumb his nose at Eichel.
A 3-point night for Nylander (the good one)
Marner does various dangly things and scores a goal
Connor Brown hits 20!

I really hope Leafs win tonight.  A loss would be very bad considering they have to play Washington tomorrow and then Tampa for the 3rd game in 4 nights.  Leafs will be tired for that Tampa game, can't lose that one either.  Win tonight and win on Thursday and they're in.

Man....looking at the standings..if Leafs lose tonight and tomorrow, and let's say Tampa beats Boston tomorrow (in OT just for fun), the standings are:

Boston: 93
Toronto 91
Tampa 90

with the Leafs next game against Tampa....

I'm glad they finish the season at home. I would hope the atmosphere would be playoff-like, and that that will get the boys playing harder. It should be fun either way.

Either way?  No way...I know this season is over-achieving and nobody expected the Leafs to make the playoffs, but when you're THIS CLOSE and don't make it, it'll feel like a huge failure.  Only way Leafs won't get in is if they go like 0-5 or 1-4 in the last 5 games.  I think 2 wins is enough at this point.

His lack of skating might be an issue for such a speedy team

Please connect the item in the lefthand column with its like in the righthand column.

A cigarette boat                              Cody Franson

A safe filled with sand                    2016-7 TM Leafs

Name one player that can skate faster than a pass.

Kasperi Kapanen?  :)
