Komarov and Hyman are locks (beyond this season) because they bring a lot more to the table then just work ethic.Highlander said:Maybe that is the point, Babcock loves guys who play their guts out, that is why Komarov and Hyman are locks for at least the rest of the season. When the rest of the team gets seasoned to knowing their coach (for the next 6 seasons) loves these guys then that work ethic rubs off on the rest of the team. Hence everyone then plays there guts out.gunnar36 said:L K said:crazyperfectdevil said:apparently Leivo is out and Smith is in.
That'll teach him to score. Babcock's dislike of Leivo is very confusing. Although this time it appears it is due to injury.
His liking of Smith is equally as confusing. Smith is below average in all facets of the game except maybe work ethic, which should not be enough to justify a spot in this lineup.
Side note: This is Smiths 40th game of season, if they give him a contract for next year, he will be eligible as one of two forwards that we need to expose for expansion draft.
