I only caught the last chunk of the game on the radio and I thought Kadri had been traded before the game given how beautiful his pass to Kane was described to be.

Seeing it now, I think he made mostly the right play (hard on the backcheck!). He probably had an extra second where he could have identified who to pass to, rather than go by memory off a peripheral glance with a no-looker. I suspect Polak was too surprised that a forward was helping out on defence and got caught flat-footed.

I like the approach by the coach to focus on the plays, rather than the results. Looks like we've got a tough little tank this year that is merely/deliberately undersupplied in the ammunition department.

EDIT: Just adding that Babcock's decision to send out Spaling and Winnik to kick off the OT frame highlights that he cares more about the process (and rewarding those that exemplify it) than the current results.
