I don't recall the last time the Leafs looked so dominant on the 3rd game in 4 nights. It's surely been a while. The score really flattered the Sens.
3rd in 4 but Sens were also on a back to back after not playing for 10 months so they were off too. You're right though it was good to see the Leafs with some jump although not sure how much of that was a tired Sens team too

We had the puck a lot but the chances we generated were largely empty calorie pot shots. On the other hand, everything our opponents have been putting on net come from right in front.

Very small samples for sure and players are still adjusting.

Thornton scored his first of the season before Matthews did, as we all expected.

It's because Marner has been looking off open Matthews and opting to shoot for himself into a crowd or right into the glass. #HeroMode

The offence definitely hasn't gotten going yet. Funny to say seeing that they've scored over a rate that would've lead the league last year.

Yeah, cause if there's one thing that really fits Marner's game, it's his selfish "shoot first" mentality.  ::)

Gotta give Brodie his chops, glad I went to the 10 game thing to let them all gel and such. Have to say Marner played his lights out, great game.  Campbell seems to be steady.  I wondered where Nick R went and why they were limiting his minutes, to bad he is injured, hope not to bad.

Honestly it kind of feels like a bit of a continuation from last year.  I?m not seeing the wildly improved shot from Marner so far.  Maybe it?s a little harder but his accuracy is not great.  His passing has been good though.  You want him shooting to keep guys honest but he seems to be a little too shoot happy so far
