I think reading not playing a scheduled hockey game as "giving in to these guys" is a little premature considering we have absolutely no idea who they are and why they did this.

This seems like the likely outcome. Neither team plays on Friday either or has significant travel for their next game. Nothing official yet, though.

If this is the case, why not play it tomorrow night? Or even have the Leafs play on back to back nights in the first place?
