It really doesn't. They're getting dominated by the cycle. The best way to break the cycle is to physically seperate the player from the puck.

Well that's one way to keep a discussion going. I happen to think there's more to it than physical play, but okay.

Almost 1000 points in the NHL's highest scoring era. His highest finish in goals in a season was 7th and he did that once. He was a top 10 scorer twice. By adjusted stats, he's at about 800 points in just under 1000 games.

I know it's just Cherry being Cherry but it's a pretty weak case all the same.
