Lightning @ Leafs - Dec. 8th, 7:30pm - Prime

I'm not entirely sure that the moderate-to-low level of force of McMann's swing (which was dumb but certainly wasn't an intentional head shot and primarily just hit the guys shoulder) is worth more than a game misconduct and a max fine, but I won't really lose any sleep over a 1-game suspension.

That's what I thought - stupid/careless/dangerous but more of a love tap than a blatant intent to injure. No previous suspensions (unless I'm forgetting something), not known as a dirty player. Then again, he's a Leaf so probably 5 games.

Seriously, I think 2 games would be excessive, but he'll probably get at least 1.

Laughing along with you all, but still, you can't ever take a chop to someone's head area with a stick. It was stupid and suspension will be deserved despite Parros' evaporated credibility.

The Tampa player hit McMann with a gloved left that was clenched around the butt of his stick to McMann's jaw. So McMann's response was significantly provoked. Having said that, there is no place in hockey for what McMann did in response - even though it lacked severe intent. And then McMann got cross checked in the back with no call. A short suspension wouldn't surprise me and I couldn't argue much over that.
