Lightning @ Leafs - Feb. 12th, 7:00pm - TSN4, TSN 1050

Polak off the glass and out... and then right back in because a Tampa player got possession of the loose puck. Rielly breaks up a possible scoring chance.

Hainsey looks pretty bad on both the 1st and 2nd goals against.

So if we're talking acquisitions, who's available that would complement Rielly, and bump Hainsey into Polak's spot?

And I actually didn't think Polak looked bad tonight.

I noticed several times where Polak's lack of foot speed caused him to lose or tie a race to a puck that a quicker defenseman might have won.  I don't particularly recall anything that came of such instances but I suspect that over time, it is the kind of thing that will eat away at his numbers/effectivenes.

I think Hainsey's play has been trending down since the first couple of months, which makes sense as he was obviously playing over his head to begin with. But I think we're stuck with him there for at least the rest of this season. Hopefully we try to find an improvement there in the offseason.

But to answer your question guys like Tanev and Demers are generally the ones who pop up in that conversation.

Whether or not we should move Willy to centre is such a difficult problem to answer.
