Lightning @ Leafs - Mar. 7th, 7:00pm - SN

Haymes, Quillan(more), Tverberg, Villeneuve, Grouxl. All have had good years and it would be nice to see if they can do anything at in the big show.
Most of those guys are fine, and seeing what you've got is a good idea but it's hard to view most of those guys as real needle movers. Quillan I agree with, but if anything that crop of guys just shows how little prospect depth we have.

You don't know until you play them. Playing a guy like Jarnkrok is such a waste of time. He's not coming back so what's the point?

Quillan with 4:46 of ice time through 2 periods. Only 8 shifts. Jarnkrok has played over 7 minutes.

I hate this organization

Tverberg is a great skater and PKs for the Marlies. Always liked the kid even though the chances of him scoring/playing much at the NHL level is really low.
Oh I agree there's no harm and we will only know if we play them. I just don't think this changes much in terms of where the Leafs are.

And yet Bérubé was quoted as he “liked” Quillan’s effort etc etc in the last game.

Benoit with a stupid penalty…maybe now that it’s all turned to sh*t maybe Bérubé will actually try some accountability for crap play like Benoit, Domi et al?

I agree with the gist of the last few posts. There is literally no point in playing Jarnkrok/Lorentz over Quillan, or for that matter not giving some other Marlies a real look. These last 19 games should be viewed as a jumpstart on next season, extended looks at our prospects, no matter how unpromising.

But of course that can't happen under Berube, who is 180 degrees the opposite of the coach needed right now.
