Lightning @ Leafs - Oct. 10th, 7:00pm - SNO, Fan 590

They need to have Muzzin facing the best lines, Rielly and Ceci Rider can't do the job.
I'll give Fredo some slack, but he has to keep on his feet a lot more, square up and challenge shooters more.

Totally agree. Fact is Rielly is not a shut down D man. Muzzin and Zaitsev were the guys last year in the playoffs. Rielly and CC have been overwhelmed so far. CC couldn't handle it in Ottawa so he isn't going to handle it here either.

Watching the other games.  Man, these teams really skate.  Play defense and skate hard.  Sabres, isles, canes, jackets, all less talented but they skate so much harder than the leafs.

We might have the worst game plan in the NHL.

Hmmm did you post much in the summer? Because I really don't recall this much negativity before the season started.

It?s not negative.  It?s a reality.    The leafs are extremely skilled.  Certainly the most skilled team in a few decades, but one must admit that against the better teams the leafs aren?t in the same class.

Being realistic is OK.  For instance, for obvious reasons, the leafs are a much better team in the road.  They skate harder and play the way good hockey teams do.  The problem is at home.  That crowd sucks the energy out of the building.  4 home games and the leafs have trailed 1-0 in all of them.

Last year, their home and away records were almost identical.
