Woll actually isn't on the Taxi Squad. Hutchinson is on Emergency Loan according to CapFriendly. I guess it will change eventually seeing Campbell is on LTIR. Engvall is on Emergency Loan as well as he is listed on the active roster today.

Woll's been on the taxi squad since Campbell went down. Teams are required to have 3 goalies on the active roster+TS at all times.
Actually he wasn't because Campbell was still on the roster until yesterday.

According to this Woll has been on the the taxi squad since Jan 26th.
That's the date they went back to start Campbell's LTIR. I'm on CapFriendly quite a bit and up until today, Woll wasn't on the squad. Campbell was on the roster until Feb 8.

Called up on the 26th, arrived with the Leafs on the 28th, been with them ever since. Because, again, it's a rule that teams have 3 goalies available at all times.

Man I don't know why this is such a big thing for you:

I check the Leafs rosters on capfriendly every time I make a GDT. Woll has been listed on their taxi squad since then. Because for the 3rd time it's mandated that they have 3 goalies.

I'm really excited for Ian Scott to get back on the ice.  Hopefully his hip holds up and he can turn into a legit goaltending prospect.

Last game was played on May 13th, 2019. Over 600 days ago. I wish him all the best but man the injury plus the pandemic have really cost him a ton of prime development time.

It's not a big deal. I was pointing something out that I found interesting.

Fine, but it was only interesting because it was incorrect.
Whatever. I know what I saw.

I can also post blog articles, including ones that actually mention Woll's name which yours does not:

Like you're not wrong that Campbell was only placed on LTIR on February 8th, and that prior to that he wasn't technically on the IR. But that doesn't change the fact that Woll was called up to the taxi squad when he was injured. There was multiple beat reporters who reported that and he's literally been at their practices and travelling with the team this whole time.

I didn't say anything about Campbell, just that Woll was on the taxi squad since the 26th.

I really like this visualization. It clearly shows who is where and when for the season.

Campbell was on the normal IR after his injury had been evaluated (though, looks like the team never made an announcement that, for whatever reason). Once it became better for the team's cap position, he was shifted to LTIR.

Getting grossly off topic but might be worth explaining that Campbell never actually was on the normal IR and why that happened. Basically, when Campbell was initially hurt the Leafs had 3 options:

1) Place him on LTIR. This of course would have given the Leafs some cap relief but they had to be certain that he'd be out for the appropriate length of time when they did it. It's possible they weren't certain the extent of his injury right away so they didn't opt for this.

2) Place him on regular IR. This would have opened a spot on the active roster but the Leafs would still be on the hook for his cap hit and Hutchinson's cap hit when they recalled him. This would have caused some cap headaches for the team and probably meant they could only carry a 20-man roster so they didn't opt for this either.

3) The Leafs could keep Campbell on the active roster, and use a wrinkle in the new CBA rules for this season only that allowed them to recall Hutchinson without having his cap hit count against the teams total since one of the teams goalies on the active roster was unable to play due to illness or injury. Capfriendly calls this the "Emergency Roster Exception". So in this situation Campbell's AAV still counts but Hutchinson's doesn't. This is what they opted to go with until they determined that Campbell would be out long enough for LTIR to make sense.

So here's a recap of how/when everything happened, using CF's transactions page as a guide:

January 26th:
-Campbell stays on the active roster but is unable to play because of illness/injury
-Hutchinson is recalled via the Roster Emergency Exception
-Woll is called up to the Taxi Squad to be the teams 3rd goalie

January 27th to February 7th:
-Hutchinson is bounced up and down between the Taxi Squad and the Leafs, always being recalled via the Roster Emergency Exception
-Woll is still on the Taxi Squad

February 8th:
-Campbell is placed on LTIR
-The Leafs are no longer able to use the Roster Emergency Exception to recall Hutchinson, and he is sent down to the Taxi Squad and then recalled via Emergency Loan, which means that his cap hit now counts but since it's an Emergency Loan the clock on his waivers expiration still does not start
-Woll is still on the Taxi Squad

Just for clarification though on Campbell.  They put him retroactively on the IR to January 26th?  Does that mean that the cap savings go into effect retroactive to that date as well or do they only start now.

First, just so we're all using the same language, you meant "they put him retroactively on the LTIR* to January 26th".

Second, that's a good question but no. Saying "he was placed on LTIR retroactive to this date" is a little simplistic/not entirely correct. He was placed on LTIR on February 8th, and it's just any days/games he missed before that that are retroactively added to the 24 day/10 game counter.
