I think that picture doesn't represent it well.

A better representation might be like the one at Keon's ceremony.

I actually kinda like that jersey. It's got some nice retro stylings. Looks really Art-Deco to me.

Whoever was responsible for that jersey did an amazing job staying true to the classic look, while subtly updating the look.  The best part is the perfect shade of blue.

Nice.  Nothing bland about it, especially those stripes.  The Leaf design does look better on their previous third jersey ( from last season).  Still, it 's a deviation from what we're probably used to.  Nothing shameful to wear, but tradition & pride all rolled into one.  I like it!

I like this jersey.

I'm not quite old enough to remember the era first hand, which makes it a little more appealing to me.

The Leafs should scrap the current Harold Ballard crest. All it symbolizes is losing.

I would like to see them wear only this 1967 type jersey and the last alternate jersey - one of them as the main and one of them as the alternate.

I think the Leafs blew it last year redesigning the regular jersey keeping the Ballard crest.

The Ballard crest, as you call it, is simply the most attractive of all the leaf designs they've used.

Ok.

I see it as the most plain looking business-like looking crest that they ever used. The others seemd to have some flair and character.

I agree.

Our current 3rd is a keeper, this new one not so much.

They should focus as much on icing a team as they do on merchandising. If they did, they would sell enough jerseys without the need to change one of them every 3 years to juice sales.

Just so that I'm clear, what would you have them do they they haven't already tried over the past couple of years?

I respectfully but vehemently disagree with the idea that it's the most attractive of all the designs.

I tend to think that, as far as sports logos/uniforms go, plain and "business-like" are usually positives. Nobody wants to be the Minnesota Wild.

That's true. The key, of course, is to find the appropriate balance character and simplicity. I prefer the logo that the team has used recently on their 3rd jerseys to the current logo (and to the logo on the new 3rd - which, to me, looks like a sloppy version of the current logo), but, I recognize that is a personal thing.

The thing I've never been crazy about on the 63-67 logo(and all the logos before the current one) is the difference in the size between "Toronto" and "Maple Leafs" and the way it looks as if the Toronto had to be curved to fit onto the Leaf. That said, I've always preferred the detail on that Leaf.

Like you say, it's a personal thing. The current third and the modern one are the only ones I'm a big fan of though.

Or the Canucks in the 80's with the "Darth Vador" uniforms!

Is the Minnesota Wild logo considered bad?  I always thought it was one of the best recent for recent expansion teams, especially the third jersey.

I agree that the Wild have had some sharp jerseys, the current third and road jerseys especially, but I've always thought the logo was a bit of a mess.

I respect that your vehement disagreement is respectful. Otherwise, I have to believe that any disagreement regarding design or style should be made with a little less fervour.
