Nikita Soshnikov

I agree.  I think if Hyman swaps with Sosh then that will be an explosive line.  It weakens the 4th line and maybe doesn't get Martin going as much but it would be a great scoring line.  I wouldn't even mind seeing Sosh with Kadri and Brown.

There's not much of a 4th line right now as it is, and probably won't be until they lose either the PK specialist or $2.5m of Grit, reintroduce Holland, add Leivo, or call someone up. It's a weak line presently, is what I mean. And why, since we're rolling 4 lines?

All I can tell you, probably more McGarnagle, is he's played 2 pro seasons on the LW before (putting up great numbers), and they always eventually shifted him to centre anyway (putting up unprecedented numbers).

Thus, Nylander can play all three forward positions, and he's best at centre.

Again, not saying you won't be right, just that you can't make that proclamation yet about where he's currently best at. Proving something in subleagues and developmental leagues does not definitively translate to identical outcomes in the NHL.

I think there's a solid reason why Babcock has him on the wing at this stage (where he's excelling), and it isn't just because of the makeup of the squad.

I don't think I was exaggerating when I said unprecedented. So you're right that he's technically unproven (the way Marner and Matthews are unproven); regardless, he's on the path to greatness. And he's still improving.

His 4-0 goal on Mrazek was the second Soshi has scored coming down the wrong wing. Babs saying he's been pleased with the fourth line.

I would like to see Soshi play with the Matthews or Marner line.  Just to see what he can do.  His aggressiveness, shot, and puck handling impresses me.

Don't ask me where to move Connor Brown or JVR.  I don't like to think ahead like that.

Sorry on starting a 2nd Shosh thread, looked for the first one and didnt see it. I have to say I love this guy and was enthralled by his goal last night and yes I think he is better suited for the 1st or 2nd line (but as you say what do you do whith JVR and Downtown?
