Another good example in this game of why I think goalies are given too much freedom outside the crease.

Anderson sets a pick, Hall collides with him, Hall gets a penalty.

Slippery trick by Anderson.

[quote author=Ibrahim]His face reminded me of the kid in the ally bank commercial after the guy takes away the truck and gives him the cardboard cut-out. Somebody knows what I'm talking about.

Filatov scored tonight 44 seconds into the game.

I really want him to work.  Aside from the whole KHL rumours fiasco, he says and does all the right things, and seems to respond well to adversity.  His first game after being demoted, he scored 2 goals.  Then after the Russia stuff comes out, he scores early.

Murray's going to give him at least one more chance, I just hope he puts it together.  He's starting to run out of opportunities.

EDIT: Two goals and an assist now.

EDIT2: First star, and was commended for his attitude by coach Kurt Kleinendorst, who can be a bit of a hardass.

This is a pretty big statement game for me. If they can hang with the Canucks tonight I might start re-considering my original projections for this team this season.
