Official Ottawa Senators Thread

Well, that was a bizarre episode in Senators history.  Wonder what kind of dirt will come out now.

Gotta be a reason why Filatov sat while Butler played on the top line.

Meh - who cares.

HEY MURRAY - NO MORE RUSSIANS!

Why go back to the NHL? What's the point?

"What kind of a stupid question is that? The point is that the best league in the world is still there. I will be only 22 this summer. And I don't see any reasons to say that I have no chances to break through in the NHL. Everyone's career goes differently. Not always things come easy."

I like it.

That's a nice response from Filatov.

I agree. Refreshing to hear a guy speak his mind rather than drone out the usual cliches. :)

That and taking some responsibility for his poor play.

Michalek takes the league lead in goals, then promptly leaves the game with an upper body injury after colliding with Karlsson.  Someone call Filatov.

EDIT: Also, I'd like to thank Bryan Burke for stealing Nazem Kadri from us.

I know your baiting, but I'd wait a little while before I judge the move. Kadri is honing his game in the AHL which is pretty normal for a guy who's not fully developed physically. He could still be the better player, especially if Cowen has any more knee issues.

EDIT: Also a line of 6 pts, 31 GP, and -2 isn't exactly something to get too excited about.

Nah, not really baiting, just kidding around.  That comment was more about how impressed I am with Cowen, not really about Kadri.

Last I heard Kadri's doing pretty well, anyway.
