The Jays manager and 4 players were at the Sens game today sporting the heritage jersey - whats up with that?

I think some of the the Jays are on tour in an official capacity... You know, just sucking up to the rest of the country.

Whatever they're doing it was cool to see them there & sporting Sens jerseys.

The baseball caravans.  They were in Toronto last night and will be in Montreal later this week...promoting baseball and trying to make the Jays a National brand.

What the heck goes on in the Sens dressing room during the second intermission.

1st+2nd periods = 66 goals
3rd period+OT = 65 (4 OT goals) goals

Savvy marketing by the Jays.

Not sure what to make of these comebacks <other than how fantastic they are as a fan> but Bryzgalov looked terrible in the 3rd tonight...like beach-ball bad. Who has got photoshop?

He's been that way most of the season. Looking more and more like another Flyers' goaltending mistake.

Tonight was more of a Bryzgalov meltdown than a Sens comeback - Philly had us on the ropes.
He looks like a moron wearing his heritage mask and pads too.
Not one Briere fist pump to the skies today either...

Karlsson was +5 tonight which puts him in the black for the first time in his career. I know projections are only that but this kid is on pace for a 74 point season...crazy.
Turris looks better every game too, 6 pts in 9 games since becoming a Sen, plus a decision over the mighty Danny Briere.

You miscalculated... he's on pace for 78. Karlsson is a straight up boss right now.

Aside from the Jets game on the 16th that's it for home games until February:

Jan 10 @ Pens
Jan 12 @ Rangers
Jan 14 @ Habs
Jan 16 vs Jets
Jan 17 @ Leafs
Jan 19 @ Sharks
Jan 21 @ Ducks
Jan 23 @ Kings
Jan 24 @ 'Yotes
Jan 31 @ Bruins

6 against EC teams [3 of which are divisional] & 4 against the West.

This seems to get forgotten / overlooked a lot, but despite how fun these comebacks are the reality is our record when trailing after 2 is still 6-14-1...4 of those wins coming in this current stretch.

78 then - to be honest I punked that stat from TSN. Boss man Karlsson

Anderson, Lupul, & Benn named NHL's three stars of the week -
http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=384605

Do sens fans not like Anderson all too much? How do Spezza/Alfy/Michalek/Karlsson/Gonchar all average about 700,000 votes for the ASG game but Anderson can't even get 80,000?

SP I'm getting the vibe that you're not pleased with Anderson? Can you explain to me what your issues with him are? Last year we finished with 245 GA, <2.99 GA/G>, this year we are on pace to finish with 269 GA at our current clip of 3.28 GA/G - is that what is souring you, the apparition that we had better goaltending last year?

No, I do like him, but its tough to deny that he hasn't lived up to expectations.  It says a lot about Ottawa's goaltending history that not letting in numerous deflating goals is a compliment.

I'm not too worried yet, I'll give him more than half a season before judging him, but his play is nowhere near what we saw at the end pf last season, and on a better team.

His GAA has dropped from 2.05 to 3.13, and his sv% has dropped from 0.939 to 0.902.  Obviously, I didn't expect him to keep that up, but what we're getting now is unacceptable.  In 18 games last year, he stole half a dozen games for us, don't think he's done that at all this season.

He's getting his wins, but I think its something of a Raycroftian illusion.  We need to score 4 or 5 goals to get him the win, and its all because we have the best offensive defenseman since Paul Coffey.

I'm still on his team, he's gotten better since the beginning of the season, but Andy at the all star game is almost as ridiculous as Jim Reimer.

There's no way our d would be taking the chances they do and getting away with it if Anderson wasn't there to bail them out. Couple of other things to consider - we're dead last in SA <1370> 25th in TSH, he's 3rd in wins for goalies, Auld has been brutal - Anderson has played 38 out of the 43 games so far <36 starts 2 in relief>...for the first time in a while we're getting consistent / reliable goaltending.

But if you're not happy with it that's cool - but I will try and wear you down on it.
How many full games have you been able to watch this year?
