Oilers @ Leafs - Nov. 30th, 7:30pm - SN, TSN 1050

Komarov is turning into a potentially interesting trade chip. He brings a lot of the qualities that playoff teams look for, and now, he's showing some offensive abilities. He'll be 29 in January, so he's in that age range where he's not a long-term part of the future. He's also on a reasonable $2.95M contract for another 2 years (which would be a steal if he can maintain a decent level of offence). I imagine there'll be a lot of interest in him at the deadline or in the summer if he keeps this up.

Yeah, but at the same time as you know, you can't ice a team of just kids.

Komarov is a great soldier, he's a guy you probably want the young guys coming up to take a look at in terms of the intangibles side of things.

Most teams have a couple of guys that are almost part of the furniture, I get the sense that Komarov will be viewed that way here.

I'd keep Komarov around too. Good leader type.

I don't get that icing call, the defenseman tipped a pass and it went down the ice. He didn't ice the puck.

I guess that depends on what the offers are. I have to imagine, if a borderline playoff team offers up their 1st round pick or their 2nd and a good prospect, he'll be packing his bags.

Impressive first period, good clearance and Komarov is on a mission. Sparks is nervous but looks like he may settle in, the Leafs want to help out this kid and are doing so. Nice hit Phaneuf, glad to say he is looking a helluva lot better under Babs. Rielly is going to be a stud for us going forward.

Trade that bubbly bottle of champagne with a bossman Fu Manchu?  Not possible.

The pads and the Cujo-inspired mask, this Sparks guy is growing on me.

He's sparking an interest?

ugh, nevermind trade him.

So, he's lost that sparkle?

I'm calling the cops.  They'll put an end to this nonsense stat.

In an American city they'd shoot the nonsense and ask questions later.  ???

That should spark quite the debate.

Damn straight.  That's how we take care of business in the Land of Concealed Carry.
