Looking good for curling gold. Canada just forced GBR to take one with the hammer in the 5th. Canada is out in front 6-2 heading to the 6th.

I guess the coach shouldn't have opened his mouth and criticized the Canadian team yesterday. :)

I just tuned in right as GB was going and the announcer said "another awful, awful shot from GB". You don't usually hear that in gold medal competitions.

I only saw the replay without sound yesterday, but didn't the same thing happen in the women's final? Sweden could have had two but botched a simple looking shot and gave up a steal of two?

They had a shot in the 8th or 9th I think that could have either tied or put them ahead and yeah they botched it.

You are right. You don't hear that too often. And for it to happen in two gold medal games on consecutive days.... wow.

8-2 now.

The Brits quit after 8 ends down 9-3. For whatever reason, I have a chant of "you tapped out" going through my head right now. ;D

I think the Korean got robbed in the women's figure skating. Her performance was almost flawless and the Russian had a number of mistakes, though small. What surprised me was the difference in the scores.

I, too, am in agreement.  Questionable judging, again?

Canada with a bronze in men's 500m short track - up to 24 medals with at least one more guaranteed. Right now they are in 3rd in both golds (Norway, Russia) and total medals (USA, Russia).

Heh, yep. The american who finished 7th ripped on the judges as well. Looks like the US wasn't the only country with an alleged agreement with Russia. ;)

Chaulk up a bronze for Canada's Charle Cournoyer in the Men's 50DM Short-Track Speedskating.

Gold went to Russia's Victor An, while China's Dajing Wu took the silver.

The late Canadian and halfpipe skiing pioneer Sarah Burke remembered...

So Canada finished 3rd in golds (behind Russia and Norway), 2nd in silvers (behind Russia), and 4th in total medals (behind Russia, US, and Norway). Not too shabby.

Not too shabby at all, and I would have given away all those Canadian medals for the gold in hockey. Didn't have too!
