Game Notes
FLA
-Sergei Bobrovsky (27-14-2, 2.63 GAA, .907 Sv%) will likely start for the Panthers
-Florida is coming off a tough 3-2 loss on Tuesday against Boston that saw them blow a 2-0 lead with the Bruins scoring 3 unanswered goals in the 3rd period
TOR
-Anthony Stolarz (13-6-3, 2.33 GAA, .921 Sv%) will start for the Leafs
-Chris Tanev continues to be stuck in the day to day phase of his injury. He once again practiced as the 7D on Wednesday so unless he feels much better in the morning it's expected he'll miss his 7th straight game with an upper body injury

Should be fun, but the way the Leafs have faltered recently, it'll be a small miracle if they pull off the win tonight.

Back from a road trip so first game home can sometimes be a let-down game but the team has also had some rest after an extended stretch of games. This isn't a must-win game but its a game they probably need to win. They need to take 2 of 3 from Florida if they want a shot at the division.

Against a lesser opponent, I'd absolutely expect a let down game, no question. But, against a team they need to measure themselves against, I would hope they'd come out with their A game.

Listen to all you Debbie Downers. Leafs need to win this game. The players need to be pumped up for this game. This isn't 'just another game'. The Panthers are squarely in the Leafs path to the Stanley Cup, they need to bring it all tonight. 💪

I don't need them to win this game. I just need them to play well.

No team is going 16-0 in the playoffs. You can lose to good teams, but this has to be a statement game where they deserve to come away with points (even if they don't)

Yup. Just gotta bring their A game. As long as they look like they're capable of beating the Panthers, that's a good performance. Obviously, the points would be best, though.

2 games post deadline and I hate Scott Laughton. I don't actually hate him but I don't believe Berube intends to be anything other then a two line team.

Tkachuk and Marchand are out so FLD is not even close to their full throttle.
