Tavares should never play 3 on 3

He really is too slow but that was more bad luck with Nylander getting knocked down.  I don't blame Willy either, driving the net has been his Godcard in OT this year.  Just didn't work that time.

That's not on him..88 this time.

Tavares slowed down after getting back into the play.  One more stride and he would
Have been there for the play.

Nylander just trying to skate through the defender earlier was bad

It wasn't Tavares' fault, but he never should have been put in a position to try to win a footrace back to cover a 2 on 1. I wholeheartedly pin this on Keefe.

I don't love that the Leafs are 1-1-1 in their last three games Despite heavily outplaying their opponent.  Memories of the team not being able to finish in bigger games

Like I just posted, I'm not too critical.  Matthews got robbed and Nylander took a chance to try to make some magic.  If ever there is a time to try a high-risk, high-reward play, this OT was it.  We didn't have much at stake.

Most OT losses are someone trying to create a win condition and it falling apart to come back the other way.

True enough but that was a poor effort by 88.

I think you're confusing a poor effort with an attempt at offense that didn't work. You have to let your skill players try to make things happen.

Jack Han..the guy that said Why to Dubas signing Jarnkrok.

They should have won but?3 on 3 comes down critical mistakes a lot of times. I?m more concerned about the pp being flat.

They're 2nd in the league on the PP. They scored 2 PP goals against Nashville. It isn't going to work every game unfortunately.
