Penguins @ Leafs - Nov. 14th, 7:30pm - TSN4, TSN 1050

Is it my imagination or did they line the HHOF members up in order of how deserving their inductions were?

Low to high, I trust?

Well, yeah. I don't think even Clark Gillies' family would argue the other way.

Kadri and Clarkson on a breakaway.

I think Kadri lost control of that out of pity to protect Clarkson

Good period by Kadri.

I think he's been really, really good this season. Possibly better even than the shortened season where he scored a lot more points.

Glad to see Holland out with him on that 2nd PP unit. If they could replace Clarkson as well it might start putting up a few points...

Clarkson cannot touch the puck without giving it away.

Clarkson on the PP is painful.  He's standing in the slot and doesn't move.  He needs to move around to try and create some space for a potential shot in the slot.  It's one thing to stand still and battle for position when the Leafs are setting up point shots, but when the play is down low and Clarkson just stands there while he is covered it takes away an option to score.

Santorelli would be a nicer passing option and Komarov to me is a better big body option too.

Kunitz runs Bernier AFTER the whistle and no penalty.  And then the Leafs get a penalty 15 seconds later.

They'll probably get destroyed after I say this, but I think I can see some more noticeable improvements in the Leafs getting the puck out and keeping it in the Pens zone.

How does Kunitz not have a few teeth left on the ice after that

That means goalies are open season. crash the net. ?
The officiating puzzles me at times, I hope we come out in the 2nd with a more physical game with the intensity of the first. Forcing the play, anyways.

It's funny, Kadri was praised a ton for a really lucky stretch in the shortened season and he's been quite unlucky this season so far and has been criticized by some for it.

One thing I'll say about Clarkson this season, he has been pretty good at getting his stick on shots.  Not as good as JVR, but he has been deflecting some shots and giving goalies trouble that way.

It may feel that way, but, it's not playing out that way:

mirtle: The Corsi Report? tonight: Penguins 32, Leafs 11. That's not good for Toronto.

I think the difference is more what they're doing with the puck when they get it in the offensive zone rather than how much they're getting and keeping it there.

But I also felt like Pittsburgh shot the puck every time they crossed the blueline that period.
