Couldn't be happier to welcome @Real_ESPNLeBrun to the TSN family. Fantastic journalist + great adition to our insider team. Welcome Pierre!

Pierre LeBrun for Pierre McGuire? Yeah, that's a trade I'd make.

No kidding, good for Pierre to finally get with a good organization. ESPN just lost a real gem there.

According to a tweet for Bob McKenzie, he'll still write for ESPN. It's just Canadians will see him on TSN now instead of CBC (who also lost Jeff Marek to Sportsnet recently).

Oh, well good for us I guess. Maybe he got more money from TSN.

More money and more opportunity, since he's really only on CBC for less than 10 minutes a week during the Hotstove.

Yeah, Dreger alluded to him being a new part of the "insider" crew, to which he is perfectly suited for.

Interesting that people are leaving HNIC - even though it's people with relatively small roles in the overall make-up of the show.

Some will no doubt attempt to paint it as evidence that the CBC may lose its contract with the NHL.

I was just going to float that idea. Although I really like the CBC production, once Grapes calls it quits I'm not
sure what's left. I'm finished with Jim "Homer" Hughson after this years playoffs so unless a bright star comes from
nowhere, TSN has considerably more talent.

I've always liked Lebrun. I wonder who's going to be on the Hotstove this year with Ron and Mad Mike  :-[

Milbury's got to go.  Maybe they'll bring back Duhatschek?  I liked LeBrun the best of the Hotstove analysts.

BTW I don't see these as major attrition to HNIC.  And FWIW I don't get the Hughson criticism.  If he was a homer in the playoffs it was because the Canucks were the Canadian team, not because they were the Canucks from Vancouver.  I have no problem with Hughson at all.

I like the LeBrun addition to TSN. Is there going to be enough on-air time for all of these "Insiders"?

As for Hughson, don't forget he spent time on the Canucks payroll after he left TSN. The only guys out there who I would be interested in seeing in that role are Cuthbert and Ken Daniels with FSN Detroit.

This was my immediate reaction as well.  Marek, now LeBrun -- is Friedman next?

LeBrun's one of my favourite in the business, so I think it's one heck of a coup for TSN.
