Heh all that praise for the shot block by Ryan - on the replay on PVR, it actually was Dupuis...

Good game so far, lots to like - and just happy that the off-season is over.

I've found him to be slow at distributing the puck though.  He definitely has the body and puck control to play in the NHL though.

For me that's the distinction with Gardiner, his skating is so quick and imposing, he seems like he has some neophyte nhl hockey sense and passing ability too. Colborne doesn't have the luxury of that kind of skating ability to give him any breathing or thinking room but I think he'll be fine in a few years, whenever his actual wingspan shows up, could be next year in a semi to regular role.

Gardiner could push Burke if the team decides he's ready. That won't mean much in terms of trades before January barring something really unforeseen but it will allow Brian a long, long swath, or even a swathe to consider if so. Like I said, great problem to be presented with.

 
Kablammo. Hope to see a lot of that from Bozak this season. We know he has the skill. Let's see what he can do with the pressure off.

Maybe he's not especially interested but I haven't been impressed with Phaneuf tonight: as they just score from Phaneuf.

Grabbs/Kuli/Mac haven't looked all that great either.

Impresse with the kids though as well as Army/Kadri/Bozak.
