Like that.

Oh boy that was dandy.

That's just it -it doesn't always have to be a pretty 5 way passing play with a tap in at the end. A guy driving the net, throw the puck in there, and all the goals count the same.

I've been harping on Hyman's inability to pass this preseason, but he has stepped it up this game. He's starting to find his linemates on the doorstep.

Great drive by Matthews and plucky goal for Hyman to get.

See this is the frustration, play pretty well, pretty much dominate at times, get deservedly back in the game then make some kind of oops to throw it away.

Still the Hyman Matthews pairing looks like being fun to watch with Nylander too

What you see as "a couple of bad breaks" I see as a disappointing continuation of this team's habit from last year of giving up an early goal. We did it against Montreal the other night with Andersen in net and he's back in tonight and we did it again.

We've turned over almost half of the roster and the goalie. It's hard for me to see this as a continuation of last year's habit of giving up an early goal, especially since the goals were great setups.

And, well, pre-season.

Laich looks really rejuvenated out there. He's got a bit of a skip in his stride that wasn't there at the end of last season.

Didn't know it was possible but I think Marner and Matthews have turned it up a couple of notches. Babcock rolling lines but the kids are clearly carrying the play for the Leafs. Holland also with a strong showing once again.

Take out the first 5 minutes and I've been very impressed tonight with a lot of things the Leafs have done.

Mantha retakes the lead with an impressive shot. Rielly covers his face during the shot block attempt (that is wise).
