Not to invite cw's defense of late series Marner but I like the Leafs approach of dominating the scoresheet early in the series to hopefully not make Game 7 matter
 
This is kind of how I dreamed playoffs would be like when you have a roster of the highest paid players in the league.
 
The team played a lot of good hockey post tournament and it showed in their record. I think it's also pretty clear that the team was holding back on intensity in a lot of games because they are staying controlled in their defensive structure but are definitely playing a bit more aggressively moving the puck up the ice with some pace
 
Holmberg with Nylander/Tavares seems like the right move. Domi makes that line way too much of a liability

It's a marathon to 16 wins. The fewer games they have to play along the way, the less wear and tear with fewer injuries. That why I'm hoping the other non-Leafs series are hotly contested, long contests.

Agreed. Certainly true for OEL and Rielly.
