Game Notes
OTT
-Linus Ullmark will likely start for the sens
TOR
-Anthony Stolarz will likely start for the Leafs
-Berube said that he was leaning toward not making any line-up changes for game 3 of this series but wasn't 100% committed to that. David Kampf and Max Pacioretty are the obvious two Leafs who are itching to make their playoff debuts still this year

This would be a good game to bring in Pacioretty. The physicality has the potential to elevate to Level Stupid.

And 89 will be a target, like when Benoit had to come in and save him from Highmore in Game 1. Not dissing 89..... but its desperation time for the Sens.

I am of the mind, if it ain't broke. As long as Robertson can quit taking penalties, keep his speed in the lineup.

Job 1 for G3 is have the dang puck more often.

There really isn't a 3rd or 4th line, is there? It's a 3/4th line, the 75% line(s).
Through the first 2 games the Laughton line typically matched up against Ottawa's top-6, while our "L3" primarily played against Ottawa's 4th line. Minutes were fairly equal between the two. That kind of gives the Laughton line the edge for me if we really had to label them. We'll see if Berube is able to keep those match-ups going on the road though obviously.

5 out of the 6 bottom six guys are pretty good and should contribute. Jarnkrok - Laughton - Pacioretty - Domi - McMann are all good players. I have no problem with that. And the other guy, Lorentz, you like would he can provide.

I like how Berube has responded by swapping Holmberg and Domi. And, though I wasn't inclined to plug in Pacioretty, it demonstrates Berube's flexibility. All good.

I think Pacioretty better fits the way the Leafs are playing right now and being a road game, might make sense for the change.

I don't think this is a bad one to bring patches in for. Robertson does seem to play wel if coming back after sitting and Game 3 isn't a critical win game. If we get anything close to November Patches it's a great addition. If he's toast I think we just see him play 7 minutes and not play again

Every game is critical. Rather be up 3-0 then 2-1. Keep the hammer down and don't give them any hope.

Can the Leafs just win one Cup for this guy.....

Apparently, they're not picking up the expense for Joe & Jim to travel to Ottawa to do the radio broadcast.
They have to do it from monitors in Toronto.

The cheapest tickets now cost hundreds of dollars - so much now, they may not have sold out a playoff game against Ottawa
The increase in franchise valuation is staggering - into the billions.
Leafs games that used to be broadcast for decades for free are no longer free.

and they can't spring to let Joe & Jim do live playoff broadcasts from Ottawa?

Joe is 74 and probably like many other Leafs fans, my favorite Leafs broadcaster ever (I grew up listening to Foster & Bill Hewitt)
After many big Leafs goals, I'll often listen to his call of them.

I think this is sad.

Back during the 1993 run i released a rap song about Joe Bowen for charity. Joe and Gord Stellick had me on their shows during Leaf games, and also day time on the Fan 1430 a few times.

Here is the track.... it was posted on YouTube by Sean McIndoe who got the inspiration for his book "Down Goes Brown" from Joe's calls.... the sample I featured at the end of the track.

Joe's voice is just as strong today as it was 32 years ago....... have fun listening to these classic calls.
