He's been awesome for sure but he can't let shots like that in. Goals like that can change the series/season. Leafs should have and deserved to win in regulation for their stellar defensive play. Let's hope that's the last of the softies.
I love the talking heads on the radio. I don’t know who was on at noon on the fan hockey show but they were basically saying how frustrated Ottawa should be because they could ‘easily’ be up 2-1 and have “dominated” 5-5 play. They also threw in that ‘Ottawa isn’t out of this yet’. Ok there.
Isn’t this the EXACT kind of bullshit that these people call out leafs fans for in past years?
Ottawa dominated all of one period where the score was tight. One. Too many people look at the numbers and remove the context. More shots doesn't mean dominating, especially when so many of the shots are from far out.The Sportsnet panel isn't helping with this, as they're very much pushing the same narrative.I love the talking heads on the radio. In the 3rd periods and OT, Ottawa hasn't been able to get pucks on net. Hard for them to win when the Leafs aren't giving them anything.
100%I would say it's nice the shoe is on the other foot.
Missing part 2 of this:
I’d prefer some honesty in the narratives, but maybe that’s just meI say let them push the narrative. I'd rather have that than the opposite of praising the Leafs that don't get it done.
Feel free to keep saying the Leafs suck pundits, it doesn't bother me at all.
Nah. If there was a really meaningful penalty, I’d agree, but a small fine feels about right for this.Missing part 2 of this:
I dunno I never shy away from mocking the sens but this feels kinda dumb.
It's the warm-up, it's totally unpoliced. There should be zero tolerance.Missing part 2 of this:

Loved everything about that play: Rielly's perfect dump in, Marner's one-footed-one-touch pass, Ullmark looking the wrong direction, Matthews being ready, Matthew knowing that Marner can make plays like this, Matthews perfect finish, Matthews first goal of the playoffs, more points for our core 4, and changing the narrative.Question: what looks right, when they should be looking left?
Answer: Ullmark on Matthews goal.
44 wrap around to 16 deflection pass (and speed up) to 34 one timer is the prettiest goal this series in my books.
The level of sickness on this execution is mind blowing to me.

It’s just so disingenuous. I’d like some real analysis, not sensationalized bullshit.I’d prefer some honesty in the narratives, but maybe that’s just me
Exactly. Something actually insightful would be nice. It’s just so disingenuous. I’d like some real analysis, not sensationalized bullshit.
I wish I could like my own post.a lesser Canadian franchise.
