R1G6: Bruins @ Leafs - May 12th, 7:30pm - CBC, Fan 590

Haven't been following the GDT due to being so focused on the game but had to jump in here and praise Jake Gardiner, what an effin beast out there.

Gardiner has shown more offensive ability in this series than most of the defensemen have all year.  He should be playing on the first power play unit, instead of Phaneuf.  Speaking of which,  our Dion went for a bad pinch again a couple of minutes ago, and fell down.  Thank heavens the Leaf forwards came back as it was a non factor.  But again,  bad reads, and decisions, by the 'leader' of the team.

Bodes well for the future.  Now someone do something for the right now!

This is a very enjoyable game.

Once again, even if we lose, the team has done itself proud and exceeded what I suspect many would have said by not being embarrassed in this series and in fact has been in the mix but for a few bounces

Damn our leafs are playing well.  I am just over the moon with Gardiner, he has hardly played this year as he has been stapled to the bench and he is bar none the best player on the ice.  It is a game like this with everything on the line that separates the men from the boys and this kid is a gamer.

Completely agree. And he'll only get better next season with this experience under his belt.

I agree with the PP. He's so poised out there and makes smart plays even under pressure I don't know why he's not out there to start the PP

One Grabovski game winning goal in this series and he's season will be forgotten. Just score.

Someone posted this pic in the stream chat and it made me think of LHF and her collection.
