R2, G2: Panthers @ Maple Leafs - May 7th, 7:00pm - SN, Fan 590

I'm generally not a fan of sucker punches, but there are some players I'll make an exception for. Still remember the one Tie fed to Ulf Samuellson who was one of the dirtier players of that generation.
I have a 4 foot long, 3 photo montage, signed by Domi, of that incident.... Photo 1 - The punch. Photo 2 - he's falling (out cold). Photo 3 - Domi standing over him.

I wanted bloody murder at the start of that game, with Marchand slew-footing two people, including Woll, within the first 10 minutes of the game. I am shocked how composed the Leafs were. I cannot believe Marchand wasn't jumped after knocking down Woll, and I am not sure he shouldn't have been.

The refs were pretty awful, with no reason or rhyme as to what would be called next. The short-handed interference against the Leafs was a mind-boggling missed call. Imagine they scored on that. The embellishment call was wild. Was it because he put himself in a bad spot trying to get a call?
Who knows what's in their heads. I wouldn't have called the embellishment but then I wouldn't have called it a double minor either. Works out, I guess.

It made absolutely no sense. The Panthers should have gone on the power play there. If the refs wanted to even it up they give 2 minutes to Laughton for boarding and 2 to Schmidt for roughing. The embellishing call wasn't needed.

(I did think Rodrigues embellished the hit, I said it when the hit happened. Throwing his stick up in the air, good grief!) 😂
