Radulov, perchance?

I think he would have got like 5M maximum in the NHL, easy decision for him.
Indeed and at 5M it would be a one year deal as teams have to be careful about how toxic he could be.

He's even worse than Semin.

Alexander Radulov is headed back to Russia, according to a report on Yahoo Sports. Dmitry Chesnokov of Yahoo is reporting that Radulov has inked a four-year deal with CSKA Moscow of the KHL that will pay him $9.2 million per year.

Per year...?! :o

Maybe that's the comparative dollar amount of his take home if he played in NA because KHL players are close to tax free.

He will be paid 1.2 billion rubles over 4 years which is 9.2 million dollars a year tax free. :o

They also signed his brother so they could play together.

Hard to turn down a contract when the value is in the billions - even if it is in rubles.

He said he didn't want to lose wages during the upcoming lockout.

Yeah I can't blame Radulov here. He's a Russian born player staying in his own country and paid like a king, how can he turn that down?

I know I wouldn't.  Getting to live in Toronto getting paid the equivalent of $18mil a year.  And all I have to do is play a game?  Sign me up!
