Rangers @ Leafs - Feb. 23rd, 7:30 - SNO, TSN 1050

If they're going to do a quasi skills competition, I'd sooner see 3 on 3 for another 5 minutes and deal with a potential tie vs a shootout.

Hard to be down about sort of keeping pace with one of the top teams in the hardest division in the league.

Nice to see Nylander finally get a chance in the shootout. Too bad Andersen still sucks in them

It's awfully hard to look at this game and fault andersen for "losing" the shootout. Which is largely luck based regardless.

Big fan of the stoic katana sheathing celly.

I think if the leafs had a young winger that could drive a second line, and be dynamite on zone entry in both 5-5 and the PP, it would have helped a fair bit.

Some luck I'd say sure, but then I'd also say some goalies are much better than others in shootouts. 1-7 is no good. Remember the game some years ago the coach switched goalies for the shootout? If memory serves correct I think Curtis Joseph was one of those goalies.

Yeah, that guy could've blocked some more shots better.
