Looks just like last year. Long stretches stuck in own end, outshot, out-hustled, puck battles lost. Not enough players committed to winning puck battles. Dump and chase - they either don't want to do it or don't understand the concept. Last year the goalies saved so many games for them...they're going to have to do the same this year.

Side note...Edvinsson would look great in a Leaf uniform.

Matthews is a problem. He looks like the same guy who was very pedestrian for large stretches of the year. He's too good to not be a PPG player but he's paid to be elite and he has looked anything but it so far
