Game Notes
DET
-Ville Husso (0-4-2, 3.74 GAA, .870 Sv%) will start for the Red Wings
-With both Talbot and Lyon out with injuries Detroit has called up former Leaf Jack Campbell from the AHL to serve as back-up for this game
TOR
-Joseph Woll (8-3-0, 2.16 GAA, .921 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
-McMann is expected to rejoin the line-up for the first time since Nov. 27th. He's missed the last 7 games with a lower body injury

Great Job CtB, agree with Chris here, 67 should remain on the 2nd line. and Maybe give a game or 2 to McMann and swap with Knies (that said, Knies with the hat trick tonight! hahahaha)

Knies has stalled IMO. Swap him with 67 and see what happens.
67 is doing great where he is. The guy that needs the catalyst is 11. Switch Knies and Domi.

Domi can get a kick start from being on L1, and he tends to rev up AM34 as well.... who also needs a kick in the ass a bit.

I think Domi and Marner on the same line is redundant - both excel as distributors of the puck and in takeaways
I'd like to see if Domi could rekindle his play in the playoffs with Matthews and Knies.

i feel like the leafs really wanted Matt Roy instead of OEL in the offseason (and somehow making the money work by ditching Kampf, OEL and maybe even Domi). The Reilly-OEL pairing just hasn’t been working so well. OEL needs to be on the left.

I think MLHS said he's good for at least one blaring giveaway a game playing on the right.

That was verified by Mirtle in the offseason. Roy was the primary target but priced above the Leafs’ limit. They pivoted to OEL.

One could argue, as you say, Treliving did himself no favours with Kampf/Reaves (and Domi) putting more of a ceiling on their spending abilities.

They might be better served with
Rielly-Tanev
Benoit-McCabe
OEL-Timmins/Myers
for a little bit

Yes agreed with this actually.

This is the best way and let Marner lead his own line with McMann........and maybe a 2C or 3C we trade for?

Knies Matthews Domi
Pacioretty Tavares Nylander
McMann [Minten/trade acquisition] Marner

3 deadly lines

Happy Birthday Azzurri. Got any snow up there? Hasn't snowed down at the lake as yet. Suites me fine as not getting away this year.
