On kind of a related note, does anyone else have a Western conference team they're a quasi fan of? I've got a bit of a soft spot for the Sharks personally.

Blackhawks, ever since Toews was drafted. Its been a few good years following them

I often try to hope for St Louis and LA.  They are young up and comers.  I never hope for the traditional favourites like san jose/detroit/chicago.  Still I don't seem to be able to get myself emotionally involved with LA/St Louis like with the leafs.

Buffalo versus Carolina.
If Buffalo wins then Carolina doesn't leapfrog us in the standings.
If Carolina wins we leapfrog Buffalo into first place and 3rd in the conference.

Based on what? Goal differential? I forget how that works.
