Isn't "PK Subban is a jerk" the vast majority of comments here when the Leafs play Montreal?

Still won't root for Montreal.  Montreal is one bridge too far.

I really can't think of anybody on the team that I truly dislike. And there's a lot of players on there that I do like (Subban, Price, Galchenyuk, Vanek). Plus a bunch of players that I generally respect (Plekanec, Gorges, Eller).

The lack of recent playoff history between the two teams has really dulled the rivalry for me. If it wasn't for a large portion of their fans being batsh$% insane I wouldn't have any problem with them.

If Marchand had finished that statement by saying "I mean me and Lucic do all that stuff too so who am I to say anything" then it wouldn't have bothered me.

I don't really care about the players, I just do not want Montreal or their fans anywhere near winning a Cup.

Worst of the two evils is Boston. So I'll cheer for the Habs, but I really don't think they can pull off an upset.

Montreal is the worst of two evils.  Of all evils really.  Boston's won a Cup already recently, old hat, nothing to care about there.  Montreal would be insufferable.

I feel like you're looking for a pretty unusual level of self-awareness from your hockey players.

Then you should be happy, as I don't think the Habs stand a chance against the Bruins. BOS in SIX.

Hate Boston. GO HABS GO! (until the next round where I want them getting swept by Pitt/NYR).

I think so too.  I think Montreal's been overrated based on beating a Tampa team with terrible goaltending and half a defense.

If Montreal beats Boston it will be a fluke, I understand that Boston is a much better team and that Montreal isn't as good as they showed against a bad Tampa group. They won't be able to fluke their way through the Conference finals and even if they do they'll get absolutely spanked by whoever comes out West. So I'm comfortable rooting for Montreal knowing it won't actually lead to a Cup.

Habs in 5.  Boston's obviously very good but they're getting Montreal and Price at the wrong time.  Montreal's 1st line and PP were on the verge of breaking out at the end of the Tampa series.  Montreal could be clicking in all areas at just the right time.  Then again, maybe Tampa being terrible was masking a lot.  Anyway - Go Habs!

What makes you say they're getting Price at the wrong time?  Career .905 SV% in the playoffs, .904 SV% in the Tampa series.

Not saying you're wrong, but curious on what basis you would think that right now.
