Game Notes

ott
-Hogberg (1-5-0, 4.23 GAA, .859 Sv%) will likely start for the sens
-Hogberg picked up his 1st win of the season on Saturday in a 2-1 win over the Jets where he made 30 saves on 31 shots
-That win snapped a 4 game losing streak for the sens, and was just their 2nd win since beating the Leafs in their season opener

TOR
-Andersen (9-3-1, 2.55 GAA, .909 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
-Joe Thornton is expected to return to the line-up after missing the past 10 games with a rib injury. He returned to his spot on the top line alongside Matthews and Marner at practice
-After signing a NHL deal with Toronto a week ago it appears that Scott Sabourin might be set to make his Leafs debut against his former team. He lined up on the 4th line at practice but Keefe made it clear that wasn't an confirmation he would be  playing

Injuries

Matt Murray - Upper Body - Questionable Monday
Erik Brannstrom - Undisclosed - Injured Reserve
Code:

Wayne Simmonds - Hand - Injured Reserve
Jack Campbell - Lower Body - Injured Reserve

William Nylander with the hat trick in a 6-0 shellacking of the hapless sens.  I have decreed it.

From your lips to the ears of the Almighty....Go Leafs Go

I get trying to find the right combos on the 4th line but I don't understand Sabourin if he does dress.  We have 14 guys competing for the bottom 6 and Sabourin doesn't match up well with any of the others.  Its not like he has been in the organization for a while to need to get a start against Ottawa.

Guess Murray's healthy. 2-7-1 with a 3.69 GAA and .882 Sv%. Just 1 win in his last 11 games since opening night.

Okay, this is the game where the mental makeup of the team gets tested.  They know they should win this.  Can they put the effort in to actually win it?  The Sens will win of their hard work plus skill is higher than the Leafs skill plus hard work.

Old Leafs were champions at playing down to the level of lesser teams.  Let's see if they've turned over ... well, you know.

I loaded up on the top line on my Fanduel but I hope you're right. Don't know about the hatty but I think that line will pot a couple at least. Like I said yesterday moving Hyman back with them maybe will jumpstart that line.

Playing a bit of the "if you take out all the games Nylander scored he doesn't produce" angle here but if you take away the two tap in goals that Vesey was handed this year he has 1 assist on the season.  I'm sure this is the point where fancy stats will show he's better than I am seeing on the ice but I'm genuinely surprised he hasn't sat for a game so far this year.

I'm not seeing that much out of him defensively that has me excited to see his line out on the ice.

Coming out of college kid was highly rated. Back then I hoped the Leafs may of signed him but since he's been in the league hasn't impressed.
