And Marner earns a point for a game he didn?t really show up for.

Mikheyev deserves it though.

Marner to his credit looked a lot better in the 3rd.

Of course he had set a low bar for himself.

Now, I think it was azzurri who suggested maybe coming back with Andersen again tomorrow?

Normally I'd say no, but only 15 or so shots against tonight and few of them dangerous.  I just might.

2 points and a plus 3 for Marner. Sometimes stats don't tell the whole picture. Saw a few glimpses of the old Mtich tho. We can hope.

I'll be shocked if Babs plays Freddie tomorrow.

Marner looks far more like himself tonight, especially in the third. Nylander had a nice pass, but was generally a peripheral player, like he's been since the season started. It's a shame he won't go into areas of the ice where points come from, cause he's certainly got the skill.

Muzzin was incredibly good tonight. The goal was gravy.

You mean the place on the ice where Nylander actually went in the second period and took a great shot that Martin happened to save?

That's great. If he went there more, perhaps he'd have more points. But he doesn't. He's great at possession and doing laps of the offensive zone, but he's got to take the puck to higher danger areas.
