I love how absolutely nothing is a penalty.
Yup. Let them play.

See and I disagree with this wholly.  I mean I think we can have a slightly higher standard for a penalty when in the playoffs but the stuff that teams get away with is a bigger impediment if the game than some of it getting called.

Were you listening to leafs Lunch today? That's what they were talking about and you know what, I changed my mind. I agree with them and you. Call the penalties regardless of time, regular season or playoffs. You're penalizing talent. The interference and crap that they let go is ridiculous. Clean up the crap and the games will be even better.

Actually, I was going to compliment the referees for doing a pretty good job in the final. There's been a fair number of calls approximating the season standard, and it's resulted in entertaining hockey. You wouldn't agree GT?

The Tampa/NYI series though was atrocious. I was thinking maybe the final was better because there had been some sort of internal meeting over it.

I would agree, it's been much better than the other series, especially those involving the Isles. Horrible. What I'd like them to do however is call it the same in OT when most of the time the refs put the whistle away. They did on Saturday with the call against Benn but last OT they let everything go. It would def improve the flow of play as it would cut down on the interference.

Maybe its just me, but I actually like the intermission cast. Bieksa in particular is quite likeable and has a lighthearted approach, and that seems to draw the others out of roboanalyst mode. Campbell is good as well.

Hrudey still says his usual boatload of bad takes, but on the whole, they may be on to something here.

Bieksa is what makes it good. He's funny and talks about the points if the game. Like how Hedman didn't go into a check with his stick. Great insight.

3 1/2 mins to go in the 2nd period and Dallas has 7 shots and had 2 powerplays.

Yeah, it looks like Dallas is finally out of gas. Tampa just needs to keep possession and kill the clock, and this one is done.

It's looks that way and if it happens, the best team won.
