MotM: Kadri  HM Kostka

Make it a double.  But I almost gave Komisarek the HM.

EDIT: Kessel was good too.  Kadri, Kostka, Komisarek, Kessel, Komarov were good.  Kulemin was bad.  Kaneuf was up and down.

Makes me long for Kaberle and Kubina again.

Kadri, on account of scoring a goal and bouncing Markov's head off the glass

And keep in mind.. since he was given only more ice time than colton orr and mike brown, I guess he played that role to a T as well! Great overall play, again, by Kadri yesterday..

awesome post!! Kudos!

I forgot to mention Khavanov.  He's an excellent addition to the D.

It's no longer 2006.

Nonis should target both Kanes, Evander and Patrick, Krejci and Karlsson or Keith, the Leafs would be perfect K?s as there is always someone named King or Kennedy around the league. ;D

Sorry for the delay in posting the results -- was in a meeting all day.

A couple of new wrinkles this year.  As suggested by Rob, to keep the goalies from unduly dominating the total scoring, when they get accolades their scores will be 0.5 points less than the skaters'.

Also, instead of the column "longest accolade streak" as in years past, let's have one that tallies the number of times a player gets votes in the MotM voting.  That way, guys who get named a lot but may fall short in the MotM or HM voting will get some credit for having played well.  (This doesn't count toward the final point total.)

In the game voting summary, this year I'll just record how many of each kind of votes each player got.  For example, Kadri got 13 MotM votes and 4 HMs.

A couple of reminders.  You can name as many HMs as you want, but only the first one counts toward the votes and appears in this table.  Also, I will use my judicious judgment on whether to count something that appears to be a sarcastic or joke vote.  That is not the same as a real but reluctant vote, as in "Orr was the best of a bad lot tonight...."

I really like this addition... it's like a version of what I suggested earlier but without overhauling the entire points structure, which is probably the wiser choice.  I'm interested to see what results we get.

Yeah, me too. It'll really show who the non-contributors were.

The only reason the Leafs had a prayer in the last 3 minutes was because the worst player in the league won about 10 straight faceoffs.

MotM: Bozak.
HM: Kadri.  Some nice passes and looks dangerous.  I think he's here to stay, finally.

MotM: Phaneuf (shots, blocks, hits, did it all)
HM: Kessel

Mentions also to Kadri, who looked good on the PP and to Liles who had a good night and looked dangerous on the attack.

MotM: Bozak, all those faceoff wins, some nice playmaking.
HM: Phaneuf, was what one expects of a team captain tonight :)

also big ups to Kadri, Kessel and Kostka.

(oops, spelled it wrong)
