The "Mr. T" Man of the Match Thread, 2015–16 Edition

Many deserving tonight: Phaneuf, Gardiner, JVR, all played well -- Hunwick mixed it up, Kadri with a very nice goal, Polak with a delicious sucker punch.  But I vote

MotM = Parenteau
HM: Bernier

X3

Bernier
Polak - I give him a hard time, but thought he was good last night, he just edged Marincin for me because of his scrap. As a pair they did well.

Marincin is really looking like the modern day version of a stay at home dman, he provides almost zero offence, but he makes a decent first pass and is consistently a positive possession player. He leads Dmen at 55% CF%@5v5.

It's really quite peculiar how well he seems to do defensively while offering very little in terms of individual production going the other way.

Tank Commander Bernier has, remarkably, now jumped into second place in the points race.  And Parenteau finally gets an accolade ... overdue IMO.  He's been consistently dangerous since October.

MotM: Hunwick, but all the D were good.
HM: I hate to leave Reimer out, but I'll say Kadri.  He stood up to the rugged Kings very well.

Whoa, robust response here.  ::)

Just curious, how did the tie break there?

Reimer got 1 MotM vote, while both of Kadri's were HMs.

EDIT: Whoops!  Check that, I forgot to count your vote Tigger -- my bad.  Let me fix it.

FURTHER: OK, fixed now.  Reimer the MotM, Hunwick the HM.  Sorry about that.  Glad you were paying attention.

MotM (such as it is): Froese, had the best save of the night on either team.
HM: Bozak, actually.  He had some chances, and I saw him backchecking pretty regularly.

JVR HM Parenteau

Interestingly, although he had a few gaffes, Gardiner was the best at tilting the ice in his favour, he and Corrado the only positive dmen 5on5 and Gardiner did it with a zone start percentage of 40.
