The guys they placed with were all impressive as well: Harrington, Kadri, Komarov

I understand that Kadri is working better without the puck, and tonight he threw some hits.  But he still doesn't look like a 1C to me.  I guess I want more out of a top 5 pick at this stage in his career.

Kadri wasn't a top 5 pick and, to be honest, a legit #1 center is probably not a fair minimum standard for the #7 pick in a so-so draft.

So-so might be generous.  After Kadri there are really only a handful of good players in the rest of the draft.

So-so might be generous.  After Kadri there are really only a handful of good players in the rest of the draft.

I remember when Kadri was drafted too, nobody really expected him to become a legitimate 1st line centre in the NHL.
