I just couldn't get into BF3 on the console. The game is epic in scale without a doubt, but the console versions are neutered graphics-wise and in scale by only allowing 12v12. Makes for alot of slow games on big maps. If I was still a PC gamer I might be into it, but otherwise no thanks. One PC downside is the whole Origin thing which is major lulz. Terrible.
Now Uncharted 3, Arkham Asylum and MW3...heck yes.
I'm incredibly disappointed with Battlefield 3. For starters, I'm not an online gamer, so there's really no point in me playing it. The campaign is alright but it feels tacked on and lazily done at the last minute. The story is obvious and cliche. They ripped off basic story elements from Black Ops and borrowed heavily from Medal of Honor and Generation Kill (they even rip some lines right out of the show!). I'll probably beat the campaign by Sunday and then what?
Without bots (once a staple of BF) this game is useless to me. It only requires a little bit of programming effort but i shouldnt really expect that from EA. Theyve always been about what looks cool and how much they can hype up their products over actually making good products. Hopefully MW3 has bots (doubt it). Otherwise I'll be sticking with Black Ops.
If you aren't into online gaming, do not pay 60 bucks for Battlefield 3. The only reason I have it is because it came with my new PS3.
