For someone who knew almost nothing about it save a couple mentions here and there it was pretty mind blowing that something like that could happen.

I still remember turning on Soccer Saturday and seeing some of the images of people being crushed up against the fence that day. The fences had been put up to prevent pitch invasions by fans. That disaster led to them being removed in short order as well as the requirement to eliminate standing room in stadiums across England.

Don't think we'll see any 'total football' tho. With LvG taking over and RVP already there I wonder if their will be an exodus of dutch players signing at OT after the World Cup. Robben? Snejder? van der Vaart?

Could happen. Here's perhaps a clue (no specifics mentioned):
2.Quality signings: Luring top names to a club missing out on Champions League football is not an easy task but Van Gaal will quickly have to identify his transfer targets and splash out a considerable amount of money to sign them.

Deebo said:I don't think the Europa league would have made United a more attractive destination for potential transfer targets.

I really didn't have any issues with the 5 minutes. Extra time was a fitting way for the game to end. I was just happy that it didn't go to PK's.
