I mean...

Wait a minute!!!!  Are the truckers trying to free us from a gazpacho regime?  If that is the case, WHY DIDN'T SOMEONE TELL ME?  I need to get down there right now.  If a regime is serving soup, it damn well better be warm.

What an awful day.  Ive been talking to family all through the night.  So far everyone I personally know is safe but there are definitely casualties.

EDIT: Well so much for that.  They blew up the airport.

So I very much loved Star Wars growing up. The first VCR tape I had which was labeled "Nik's Tape" I had when I was 4 and it included Return of the Jedi taped off TV which I watched roughly 8 bajillion times. I bought the movies on VHS, Laser Disc and DVD(twice, the remastered and the original cuts). I saw all of the prequels first day in the theatres(even taking the time out while backpacking across Europe to see one of them). I was the kind of guy who heard and repeated George Lucas' explanation for why Parsecs could be used to measure flight speed. I knew who Max Rebo was and his printed in the comics backstory. I played most of the video games too(Statement: Real ones know).

But even with all that, spending 700 dollars a night to stay in a Star Wars LARP hotel is just incomprehensible to me. I think I would rather light my money on fire.

I don?t really talk about this much here, but I?ve got this goofy podcast and in it we have a recurring joke making fun of st Hubert. I?m just so excited in that I feel we?ve finally made it with this latest reply to our  tweet? and I just had to share it here:

We do quite a bit of work in Quebec with our company. We've always just called it "The Big Chicken". Easiest way to tell people what to look for.

Time to bail on Twitter

I'm not worried that it'll mean a huge change. Musk will find out pretty quickly what the people at Twitter already know, namely that unmoderated social media sites quickly become toxic cesspools that nobody who isn't a complete and total chud would want to use. Twitter's laughable attempts at weeding out the crazies aren't done out of the goodness of their hearts or from any political agenda. It's because they don't want to become facebook and be known as the place where people's racist uncles post their nonsense.

No multi-billion dollar tech company has anything resembling actual left wing politics. They do what they do because it's what the market tells them to. Musk is going to have to buy a lot more of the company if he wants them to nosedive it's value by chasing people off.

Same.

I am interested in animals though! So this is a very sad story:

As a child I had a fleeting interest, but not a drop as an adult.

I feel bad for judging adults who like it, but I do.

I liked it as a kid but I haven't watched it in 20+ years.

Yeah. Haven't watched with any kind of regularity since I was a teenager - and, even then, I wouldn't necessarily say I cared about it, I was just entertained by it.
