After living in my condo for just over a year, the unit next to me in which I share a balcony with, has been sold and possession is today, they just started moving in. They picked a bad day, it's the Leafs season opener, what a way to welcome them with cheering on the Leafs tonight haha

The day gets better after the Kessel extension and soon Leafs game, I got Ford to not only match Fountain Tires quote (which is a 4 for 3 sale price), but they beat it by $36 haha
Fords original quote was $1,258, but after telling them the quote I got from Fountain Tire they came back with $960. Fountain was $996.

I'm in year 3 of my goal to read every one of the Jack Ryan series in 1 year. :-\ Anyway, they're all just great. Clancy was also an authority on the military and military history. The man was a walking encyclopedia really.

This happened more because when Bolland went down with an groin injury 3 games before the playoffs started, Shaw stepped up. By the time Bolland returned (he missed the first 5 playoff games as well) he was no longer centering the 2nd line and this continued through the rest of the playoffs.

Do any of you have insight as to which are the better gas reward programs out there?
I predominantly use Shell and Petro based on location. I've been collecting Air Miles for years, and just started collecting Petro Points since I figure I may as well get something (however minimal it may be) for all that usage.
Takes a long time and a lot of money to receive any tangible benefit, but something is better than nothing I figure.

I'm probably the wrong person to answer this because we almost exclusively gas up at Canadian Tire with the x coupons. My husband collects the CrappyTire money and almost every year around his birthday, ends up making some nice fairly expensive purchase of some Man Toy with the proceeds. Years ago, when they still sold them, he bought a handheld game unit with them, and then games etc for a couple years thereafter. Every year he ends up getting some new power tool or ratchet set or something like that. He got a cappucino machine with it one year too.
I guess it all depends on what you *want* out of it. We don't travel so air miles doesn't really mean anything to us, but if travel is your desire, a card that has those is probably better.
My son has a friend that does the petro points thing, but all he ever gets out of it is some sort of car related stuff.

Too bad you didn't have A Co-op there, it's a western/prairies chain and they keep track of your gas purchases by giving you a coop number to use, and early in the new year they give you a cash rebate, usually works out to 12.5 cents a liter of gas purchased. Back in Gillam the grocery store gave a percentage back based on food purchases and it was a nice little cheque each year.
Do you have superstores there? I gas up there once in a while and if you have their credit card and use it for gas, you get 10.5 cents back per liter on your receipt at the gas station/pump.

North Atlantic (formerly Petro Canada) here gives point rewards. I usually end up with about one free tank of gas a year. Better than nothing.
