Wings @ Leafs - Apr. 2nd, 7:00pm - CBC, Fan 590

Somewhere in the ACC stands is a little kid attending their first Leafs game.  And, some of you want to send them home crying, because their team lost.  What a shame!

No matter where we finish, we're going to get a good hockey player if our scouts, and management, actually know what they're doing.

I say let the little tyke go home happy!

Go Leafs Go.

9 players in the HOF from the 2002 DET team.... maybe it's just as well we lost to the Canes.  :( :P

Oh eff off, Cherry.  Get lost already.
What did I miss? Telling a kid not to show boat?

No, he went into his stupid effeminate whiny voice to lecture us idiot fans for the thousandth time about why it's perfectly OK for clean hits to result in a staged fight later.  "You people have noooo idea...."

I think at this point pro-fighting people realize that that's basically the only role fighting has in hockey now, so they're doubling down on defending it.

I think you have mentioned this before, but it drives me crazy that a perfectly clean hit now inevitably results in a scrum if not a full-blown fight, with the guy who laid the hit expected to "answer the bell."  What BS.

Worst thing in hockey right now as far as I'm concerned. Well, I guess 2nd to the whole concussion problem.

See, the thing is that's not actually true. Smart GMs swing and miss on picks all the time, even in the top 10. I've mentioned Lombardi and Thomas Hickey before but Dale Tallon took Jack Skille with his first draft pick as the GM in Chicago, Yzerman took Brett Connolly at #6 and so on.

The higher you pick the less random the chances of the player turning out good are.

Yeah, let's keep Kadri, he'll be good for the tank for the next 10 years!  ;)

He's got to learn to not take those type of retaliatory penalties!  >:(
