It was a very fast cloggy game, which I didn't know was possible. I'd say the goalies stood out, but it's not like there were grade A chances all night like the FIN/USA match; Matthew Boldy at times. For the most part, players could make one or two nice plays to get into a good opportunity, and then couldn't make the crucial next play (defense!).

I did notice Amirov with some good defensive plays: he's on top of players on the forecheck deceptively quick, he rolls back deep in his own zone to support his defense, and stays on top of the puck after starting a breakout pass (he had to pokecheck bailout his linemate after a blueline turnover). But if there's a sliver of daylight to take the puck into the OZ, he'll try to do it through 3 defenders.
