Not sure if anyone else heard this, but on the radio this morning they said that the nhl will announce a new cba at the draft, and apparently there’s new rules now to not allow loading up on LTIR for the playoffs.

I don't think there's a GM in the league who would take Peterka over Knies though.

This is still a laughable return for the guy but something about Peterka feels a little suspect.
Agreed on that, but Peterka also didn't have the luxury of playing beside Marner and Matthews all year.

Jamie Benn re-signs in Dallas for 1M base salary with bonus structure up to 4M

David Kampf as the Leafs 2nd line centre!

I'm pretty surprised how much the players are giving up in this CBA. Lower contract terms, no more deferrals, extended rights on prospects, more regular season games and limits on signing bonuses are all pretty big wins for the owners. Players got... a more relaxed dress code.

With the cap going up, they probably already feel they are winning.

Which current player would actually listen to Metallica
Wearing 80s bands tshirts seems to be a thing now. It kinda hurts my soul a bit when I see 15 year olds wearing def leppard shirts and they probably don’t even know that’s a band.

Have to close the loop holes for the teams propping up the finances of the league....this exacerbates the advantage of low tax states even further.
The state of FLD has 4 cups...So fucking Leafy that our only advantage gets taken away.
