Thanks. Heck of a kid. Not sure he'll ever be a full time NHLer. Has the size, brains and physical strengths. Seems to need to trust himself more and be a little bit less of a gentle giant.

It's crazy that as a closer he has an 8-5 record. His 28 saves is good for a tie at 3rd in the league though

Another thought is to allow the team awarded the penalty shot to change their players (other than the shooter), so that you can put out a couple speedsters that may get up the ice even quicker to create the rebound opportunity. Another cool result would be the defending team leaving one player...

It was a neat concept. I saw goals scored on the initial penalty shot. But saw even more scored by the players joining the play and gaining rebounds.

My daughter went to a university showcase this summer that used the same method. Except players lined up at top of opposing circles and could leave as soon as player touched puck at centre ice.

Watching the last two games of the series against the Rockies, it was crazy to see their confidence evaporate the second Toronto scored.

This biggest issue with the team is they don't know the in between. They're either slow and methodical or 100% dump and chase. As soon as this team loses momentum in the playoffs, they immediately revert to dump and "sort of chase". They need to develop a "chip and overwhelm" methodology. Put...
