We'll have to wait a year. Not a big deal really. Hopefully we can ice a much better team by then and actually win the damn game.

The last offer the NHL tabled had the players salary drop by approximately 12.3%, maybe more, maybe less, depending on what league revenues were.
The make whole provision re-paid the players over the next couple seasons, however those payments came out of the player 50% share of revenues. Now it appears the NHL have offered to pay for part those payments out of their share. Dreger tweeted that it would be 150 million in year 1 and 50 million in year 2.

The league amended a proposal made last month to shift the cost of the NHL-designed 'make whole' provision from the players share over to the owners side.
That's kind of a big deal, right?
